In this issue, we have prepared a set of interesting articles that mesh the Polish and Internet spirits. In our "American Experience" section, Greg Wierzynski writes of his love for baseball and his Polish parents oblivious to this experience. In "Discovering Poland", Peter Bogucki, professional archeologist, recounts his digging feasts in the old country. Then, in our "Guest Writer" column, you can learn how a very long, Polish name became Reed H. A. Scarabee. Finally, POLe's traditional virtual gallery features the arts of Krystyna Marek-Swiecicki.
This issue, of course, would have been incomplete without a note from our January launching party at the American Center of Polish Culture in Washington, DC. Since we prefer visuals over words, here are a few shots. Meanwhile, enjoy this issue and remember to write us or send your submissions.
